The title is misleading, it might not really make a person wealthy wealthy, however will definately save you some cash :)
Last time I touched in short on the top most golden rule of traveling - Travel light. I additionally told you to take a look at money belt bearing in mind the 1st golden rule. Hope you did that and simplified your current list.
The very first foreign holiday I ever went on with my family was while I was Fourteen. The holiday destination was India and this was way back in the late 1980's. My father was a military colonel & mum had a small chain of book stores. While mother and father started planning for the holiday nearly 6 months beforehand, we read about the places we'd visit every day. The second golden rule for holiday travel is you got it - Plan in Advance!
My dad organized everything with mom using his army accuracy, lists were created, duties were assigned to me & my sister (who was older by 3 years) Six months before we were to journey. We had 3 lists
General checklist - Where all the stuff that everybody would need and use was listed (toothpaste, nail clipper etc)
Emergency List - Where doctor prescribed drugs, emergency phone numbers etc were listed
Personal List - Where our own individual items that we would like to carry were detailed (boy! this list was massive!!!)
And then there were the responsibilities list. My dad would do the flights, visa, permission for him to travel (he was serving then), Mum would take care of the prescription medicines, visits to the doctor, clothing, I & my sister were instructed to check out places we would have liked to go. All Emily desired to do was find out snake charmers & princes (hahah!!), me I desired to look at the Mt Everest and ride elephants. We had been so far removed from actuality (well to some extent far!)
The point I am stressing here's, if you're traveling international for a family holiday, plan early. Write everything down in 2-3 checklists and after that begin taking off items that are not required. I am sure you don't need to carry Five different types of moisturizer. You'll need a sun block lotion plus a moisturizer.
We're assigned just 2 bags; I had a duffel and a small backpack. Preparing this early, resulted us in finishing all our travel requirements & bag shopping during sales. By doing this I guess we saved almost 60% of the cost we'd have paid for had we all waited till the last second. So now you realise why I sent you to money belts
This web site is centered on holiday requirements and is my present favorite. Within a few weeks I've saved close to $700 on bags and also other holiday need items.
Getting back lets summarize the two travel rules we've learnt up to now
Plan in Advance
And reduce costs anywhere you can! Until the next one, dream about your forthcoming getaway!
